Welcoming in Spring Equinox and Ostara with a DIY Welcoming in Spring Equinox and Ostara with a DIY flower essence.

Ostara is a celebration of the Spring Equinox, when there is balance between light and dark. It marks the beginning of springtime and nature’s rebirth. Powerful symbols of Ostara include:

Seeds- They represent the cycle of life, potential, growth and abundance.

The Sun and Moon-The spring equinox marks the time when the day and night are of equal length, representing balance and harmony.

Eggs-One of the most well-known symbols of Ostara. The egg is a symbol of fertility and rebirth, and it's also associated with the goddess Eostre, after whom Ostara is named. In many cultures, eggs were painted and decorated during Ostara celebrations.

In modern day living Ostara is good time to start taking action on the ideas and goals you started thinking about around Yule and Imbolc (in the new year). What you plant during Ostara will be ready to be harvested during Beltane (the fullness of Spring)and the following summer months.
Here are some ways to celebrate this time:

*  Planting seeds for a garden
* Spring clean your house
* Decorate an Ostara altar to honor your goddess of choice
* Take a nature walk with loved ones and look for signs of spring
* Host a tea party with a springtime theme , infuse it with The Empress Tea
* Take time to meditate/journal and think about your intentions for the next few weeks as it relates to the goals you want to achieve

🌸Make a flower essence. Collect flower buds in a clear jar on your morning walk or in your garden. Select flowers that resonate with you, make sure you know they are safe. Immerse them in spring water and let them sit outside in the sun for 4-8 hours. Or under the moonlight. Strain into a mist bottle or amber bottle. Spray your room, your face and around your altar. You can also drink a few drops before a meditation or ritual practice. If you want to extend the essence longer after you’ve strained your flowers, add 1 cup of brandy to one cup of your flower water. Take a few drops of your flower essence whenever you want to call in the magick of spring.

I am using the blossoms from our apricot tree 🌸🌸🌸
