DIY Hand Sanitizer

It’s a crazy time and we wanted to share an easy hand sanitizer recipe for making at home. Sure, we could jump on making a bunch and putting them up for sale, but we feel like its better to share these easy recipes with our community for free. We are here for you.

We can’t say enough how important it is to wash your hands with good soap and hot water! But if you want a little more, here’s a few recipes to make your own natural hand sanitizer.

ingredients

  • 5 oz. 190-proof vodka, alcohol or Everclear
  • Essential oils like: Clove bud, lemon, tea tree, cinnamon, eucalyptus, or grapefruit. I love simple tea tree & grapefruit. Use 40-60 drops.
    **Experiment with the smells you love the most
  • Aloe Vera Gel or Glycerine

recipe 1

  • 70% 190-proof Vodka or Everclear
  • 10% oz of Aloe Vera Gel or Glycerin
  • 10% Calendula, Hemp, Olive or Sunflower Oil (can also mix a few together)
  • 30 Drops of Grapefruit Essential Oil
  • 30 Drops of Tea Tree Essential Oil

  • 5 oz. 190-proof vodka, alcohol or Everclear
  • 20 drops organic clove bud essential oil
  • 17 drops organic lemon essential oil
  • 10 drops organic cinnamon leaf essential oil
  • 8 drops organic eucalyptus essential oil
  • 5 drops organic rosemary essential oil
  • 3 oz. aloe vera gel

directions

  1. Combine all essential oils in 8 oz. wide-mouth container of your choice with lid
  2. Add alcohol, secure lid, and shake well to mix and dissolve oils.
  3. Add aloe vera gel, secure lid again, and shake well to mix.
  4. If clumping occurs, throw mixture into a blender and blend until smooth.
  5. Optional: Transfer into smaller bottles for easy portability, if desired.
  6. Rub a small amount into hands as needed
