Think about it, without presence and intention, we give away our power to our unconscious habits. A habit doesn’t require us to pay attention while it’s being preformed; it becomes automatic and forms a sense of normal.⁠

A ritual, however, carries a deliberate intention and purpose, which requires us to be fully engaged with what is being performed. A meaningful ritual performed daily can be a catalyst for the cultivation of more conscious and healthy habits.⁠

🔥 One ritual that is easy to do is the meditation of Candle Gazing or Trataka. It’s a practice that helps to open your third eye, improve memory, and increase concentration.⁠

To get started, create a comfortable setting. Place a candle in front of you, we recommend our Soulshine Ritual Essential Oil Candle. Place your candle about two feet away at eye level or close to it to prevent strain in the neck. Turn off or lower your lighting, light the candle, and allow yourself to focus only on the flame.⁠

Maintain your sight on the flame, even if you begin to feel distracted or bored. As time passes, your peripheral vision may blur as your awareness remains on the flame. Bring your mind to a place of stillness. This ritual practice can hone and develop your concentration, your memory, and welcome awareness.⁠

March is Endometriosis Awareness Month and we are here to support the awareness this month and all year long. Endometriosis is not just a bad period. It’s chronic pain and it affects about 200 million women worldwide, and about 1 out of every 10 women in the United States.⁠

This inflammatory disease is a condition where endometrial tissue (tissue similar to the lining of the uterus) grows outside of the uterus. It causes painful periods and also pain during sex, irregular bleeding, digestive problems, and even infertility.⁠
⁠
It’s a disease that is often misdiagnosed. Thats because the lack of education and awareness around it. There are pharmacological interventions like hormonal therapy, immune-modulators, anti‐inflammatory drugs, and surgery. And there are holistic alternative approaches as well.⁠
⁠
Learning to manage the pain is a huge part of the holistic approach. Here are a few tips recommended that have helped others:⁠

* Hot Baths with Epsom Salts⁠
