September~The Sacred Pause, A Time To Let Go And Release

As part of our ongoing series for honoring and holding intention, our September Ritual focuses on Virgo and the Hermit Tarot Card. September is the month of purification, cleansing and self care. This is a time where Virgo rules our sympathetic nervous system, our digestive system and our liver.

This month we honor the Virgo energy with an Astrological Workshop, Honoring Our Sacred Self and below we offer a ritual practice you can do at home.

SEPTEMBER RITUAL OFFERING

To enhance each monthly ritual we’ve paired a special offering. This month we are featuring our Clarity Inhaler and our Turmeric Ginger CBD Roll-on. We chose the Clarity Inhaler and the Turmeric Ginger Roll-on because they are a perfect combination for clearing, cleansing, and nurturing intention. Infused with aromatic oils through organic plant medicine, each have a unique way of working in concert with the Limbic system. The limbic system acts as a control center for conscious and unconscious functions, regulating much of what the body does. In some ways, it connects the mind to body, bridging the gap between psychological and physiological experiences.

The Virgo sacred service

Virgo is finding meaning through service, within ourselves and others. It is a time for self care and healing.

Virgo is finding meaning through service, within ourselves and others. It is a time for self care and healing. With this in mind we are called to focus on the Sacral Chakra, the belly, the “I Feel”. Virgo rules the digestive system and the spleen, it rules our gut instinct and teaches us to lean into our intuition. But in order to lean into this, we must first stop doing and be in a state of witnessing. Think of a time when you listened to your intuition. Where do you feel it coming from? Think of a time you didn’t listen, where did you feel it?

The Hermit—To Pause

The Hermit represents a moment of pause and reflection. To really pay attention to what the lantern is highlighting before moving forward. Touching in to self and dropping more fully into the present moment, touching inward, connecting to intuition to pause and see what comes up for you. Which is why Virgo is so fitting, it’s often the phrase “I analyze” to pause, to distill, and simplify.

Make your ritual

You’ll need a few ritual tools to begin, you'll also want to find a quiet space where you can ground and center. Don’t forget to grab a few magical tools too!

Feel free to incorporate Tarot cards, otherwise this is something you can use for meditation inspiration.

Your ritual practice should be between 10 to 30 minutes depending on what feels right for you.

Prepare your Ritual with all the magic.

Setting your intention

With any ritual, the key aspect in manifesting energy for healing is the intention behind it. It must always be for the highest good of all. For this, try coming up with a mantra, question, or phrase for the theme. In honoring the energy work of the Hermit and Virgo we ask “In what areas of our lives can we make room for a pause? In what ways can you be mindful throughout our daily tasks and how can we invite in the stillness?

Begin your ritual

With the intentions set and tools in place you will need to ground into your body and create a sacred space. When creating a sacred space you’ll want to light some cleansing smoke or candle. Grab your Turmeric Ginger Roll-on and anoint your belly by massing the oil into a circular motion. Next apply it to your chest for an opening and onto the soles of your feet where you will begin your grounding practice. Visualize your feet turning into roots and growing strong, down into the earth, a bright light surrounding your body like a veil or orb, with tree-like branches coming from your crown and reaching towards the stars. Here you can call upon your angels, ancestors, spirit guides, animal guides, gods or goddess’, anything that you feel called to bring in for the highest good of all.

From here you can start your tea. You’ll want to steep it for a while.

Incorporate breath work

B R E A T H E
To pause
To make space
To collect your thoughts
To remember
To face the next moment
To choose

Sometimes we need a reminder to breathe. A deep inhale, followed by a long exhale. Try taking a few deep breaths in and out. Inhale deeply into your belly, through the nose bringing the air into the lower lobes of your lungs. Inhale to the count of five, and then hold for a moment and then exhale to the count of five.

Reflection

Now grab your tea, notebook and if you’ve chosen to do so your Tarot Deck. Find a nice quiet space where you can sit and relax. With intention enjoy your tea and reflect on how taking the time for self care made you feel. Not rushing through it, being intentional about the entire process. At some point in between sips of tea close your eyes and place your hands on your sacral chakra and see what comes up for you. What are you feeling? Once you feel ready, start to come back to center, grab your notebook and write down what came up for you, what was your mantra, question or phrase? How can you fit that into your day to day life? If using your Tarot Deck now would be the time to see what comes up for you. I would suggest just a one to three card reading, but honor whatever you feel called to do. When you’re done don’t forget to thank and send gratitude to your guides.

Also join us in an intimate evening for an Astrological Workshop, Honoring Our Sacred Self, lead by Brie James or Ritual Haus Wellness. Included in the workshop is the Turmeric Ginger Roll-on and more magical goodies.
