Join us for a soulful evening of ring making as we welcome in the first new moon of Fall by creating our very own talisman.
We are excited to have guest artist, Cat McCadden of Grace Gow join us from Seattle, Washington to share her creative inspiration for crafting fine art jewelry. The night will begin with an unwind for clearing using breath and visualization to get us inspired and centered. Cat will then share her process and her practice of looking towards nature, below the sea, and into the stars to create beautiful, and timeless works of art.
Each attendant will receive all the materials they need to create a solid 925 Sterling Silver Ring (which can be upgraded with other precious metals and stones) as well as a special Make & Mary gift that inspires release and renewal. We’ll also explore and be inspired by themes of the season, the energy of the new moon and the significance of a full circle, like a ring..the moon, and more.
Herbal mocktails will be served along with light snacks. This is a 21+ event only.

About Grace Gow
Cat’s art practice draws inspiration from the natural environment, the sea, and coastal culture. In her work, she mixes traditional metal smith fabrication techniques, the lost wax casting process and a edgy eye for design with other traditional gemstone and jewelry references. The result is a hybrid contemporary style with textural motifs and lively depictions of oceanic forms.
She has exhibited on the West and East coasts and currently sells her collection in over a dozen different cities from Boston, MA to Hanalei, HI and in museums including the Frye Art Museum Store and the Museum of Fine Art, Houston. gracegow.com
ABOUT THE WAX ON WORKSHOP (WOW)
WOW is a place where your creativity comes alive. The Wax On Workshop - or WOW for short - is a relaxed two-hour session of sketching, carving and chatting that results in your own ring design in wax. You'll give the wax to Cat, she'll cast the ring and then professionally finish it to your matte or shiny specifications. Four to six weeks later, you’ll receive your custom sterling silver creation delivered to your door.
