Everything in life is in constant transformation—our bodies, our perception, and even the structures that hold society together.
Nothing stays still for long, even when it feels like it does. November has a way of reminding us of this truth. The air shifts, the light softens, and the earth pulls her energy inward. It’s a month of transition, asking us to slow down and listen for what’s ready to fall away.
Change is rarely loud, (yet sometimes it feels necessary) More often, it begins quietly—an awareness, a breath, a small decision that ripples outward in ways we may never see. We are always shedding layers of ego, stories, and patterns that once protected us but no longer serve who we’re becoming.
The invitation of November is to trust those ripples. To honor that our inner work—our healing, our softening, our remembering—creates waves that touch everything around us.
Imagine if we could keep showing up, even in the darkness and uncertainty. If we could meet ourselves and each other with love, with empathy, and with patience. The ripple of that energy would be unstoppable.
When one of us shifts, the world shifts a little too.
A Simple Ritual for Honoring Change
This month, try this gentle evening ritual to honor the ripples of transformation in your own life.
You’ll need:
-
A candle (white, gold, or deep red for transformation)
-
A bowl of water
-
A few fallen leaves or small stones
-
Paper and pen
Begin by grounding. Sit in stillness for a moment and take a few deep breaths. Feel your body connecting with the earth.
Light your candle and gaze into its flame. Reflect on what has been transforming within you this season—what have you released, what has softened, what new awareness is taking root?
Write down one pattern, thought, or behavior you’re ready to let go of, and one new intention or way of being you wish to nurture.
Fold the paper and hold it over the bowl of water. As you drop it in, whisper:
“As I change, so does the world. May my healing ripple outward in love.”
Add the leaves or stones to the water as an offering to the earth—symbols of grounding and flow. Sit for a few moments in quiet reflection, watching the candlelight dance across the water.
When you’re ready, pour the water outside onto the ground, letting the earth receive your intentions.
