Strength, heart, and fire within
Creating a personal Ritual can be a simple practice done daily, weekly, or even monthly. Being intentional with your ritual gives you the power to ground yourself and keep you focused. Creating Rituals increases confidence, provides us with a sense of security, alleviates the weight of grief and helps to reduce anxiety. Rituals are a great way to find happiness.
Join Make & Mary for a monthly ritual focused on the Tarot, Astrology, Plant Wisdom, and more. We’ve also created a special Ritual Package to go along with each monthly intention. This month we are featuring the Soul Shine Candle and Free Spirit Wand for 25% off. Both are intended to raise your vibration and honor the strength within.
Ritual tools
To begin with you’ll need to find a quiet space where you can ground and center. Also don’t forget to grab a few magical tools!
- Cleansing smoke or candle
- Anointing oils
- A Journal.
Feel free to incorporate Tarot cards, otherwise this is something you can use for meditation inspiration.
Your ritual practice should be between 10 to 30 minutes depending on what feels right for you.
Creating your sacred space
When creating a sacred space for ritual you’ll want to bring in the light with either a candle, or cleansing smoke. We love our Soul Shine Candle or (ethically sourced) Palo Santo’s bundles for this! Find a good spot free from distraction, and gather things that make your space feel special to you—gems, plants, fabric, or even music.
This specific ritual is to honor strength and the fire within. Once you've set your intention, visualize the flame of the candle as the inner flame within.
Leo, The Strong Heart
August represents Leo, the Heart and the Strength Tarot card.
After you’ve created your sacred space, try a little anointing. We love our 150 MG Rosemary Lavender CBD Oil applied to the the Third-Eye or 1st Chakra. Rosemary is a wonderful herb to awaken a sluggish Chakra, while Lavender balances it. Another herb to try is Frankincense. This essence has been used in ritual for centuries. It helps to install a deep tranquility of the mind. Our Free Spirit Wand is created with Frankincense to benefit from it’s healing properties, and can be used all over the body. It’s filled with a little gold shimmer to make you sparkle and shine. How more Leo can you get? As Leo represents the Heart think about bringing your awareness here and your third eye as well.
This months ritual focuses on The Strength Card
The Strength Card brings forth the medicine of connecting to the heart, no matter how tender that may feel. We are here to hold space for big love, gentleness and compassion. How can we turn our strength into our super power? By allowing our soul and our hearts to shine, and meeting this with self love and compassion. When we connect to our inner fire, we allow ourselves to be seen. We allow the armor to drop and our heart to shine no matter what. August is the 8th month and Strength is the 8th card of the Major Arcana. 8’s are the infinity loop, the connection to the spiritual, it reminds us of the transformation taking place, of stepping into a new chapter, and asking ourselves in this moment “Who am I? How am I showing up for myself and how I am shifting into my soul work? How am I shifting into this new space and how am I allowing my soul to shine?”
Setting your intention
Focus your intention on a specific thing that relates to the Strength of Leo. One way is to ask yourself, “How am I taking up space in this new way of being? How am I embodying this energy with the intention of honoring my heart? How am I honoring my strengths, in ways that I can share?
Begin your ritual
With intentions set and the tools in place, settle your body in a seated position. Start to connect with your breath. Imagine your feet growing like roots down into the earth. A glowing orb of light surrounds you, your crown turns into tree branches reaching towards the stars in the sky. At this time you can call upon your angels, ancestors, spirit, and animal guides to guide and protect you for the highest and greatest good of all.
Light your candle and start to think about your phrase, question or mantra. With this repeating in your head anoint the Heart Chakra and whatever other chakra you’re feeling called to pay attention to. Quietly sit or lay with one hand on your belly and the other on your heart, focusing on your breath and your intention. Stay here for as long as you need to.
When you’re feeling ready, slowly start to come back to center and journal about what came up for you. If incorporating Tarot I would suggest a small one to three card spread but honor whatever you feel called to do.
